Ministry of Labour has revoked an
employment license of A&S business 1994 Ltd, a job placement firm,
after the company failed to send job-seekers to work overseas as
promised and charged job placement fee higher than what stated in the
ministerial regulation. The revocation took effect on April 30, 2013.
From March-September 2011, A&S business
1994 Ltd agreed to send nine job-seekers to work in Israel, promising
them an agricultural worker position and 4,500 shekel monthly income
under a five year contract. The company charged some 30,000-220,000 baht
job placement fee for each job-seeker or a total of 1,064,000 baht but
failed to send them to that country. The rate is also higher than the
limit determined by the ministerial regulation. The company also failed
to issue applicant certificate to the job-seekers as required by
Department Employment. The company had also been revoked its employment
once for one year.
The Central Employment Registrar issued an order to revoke the employment license of the A&S business 1994 Ltd, effectively from April 30, 2013.
