The Minister of Education said that universities and academic institutions were mainly responsible for creating good human resources for society and for private and public organizations. Therefore, the government is asking them to promote national mobilization by creating new entrepreneurs, especially university students and new graduates, to strengthen social development with business companies.
In addition, academic institutions have to allow knowledgeable people in the academic sphere, such as university teachers, scientists and academics, to help create modern innovations and to register their intellectual property as, by doing that, they will increase the value of the country's products so that more income can be used for national development.
The academic seminar, "A Socially Enterprising University", was a forum to encourage learning and sharing of experiences in social work, with universities in Thailand as focal points to create human resources who understand the importance of social development and environmental conservation in the country.
