On 7 May 2013 Ambassador Ruengdej Mahasaranond hosted a welcoming
dinner for a group of 35 Thai business delegations from heavy industries
sectors from 25 companies, led by Mr. Paniti Uthairat, Director of
Office of Service Trade Promotion, Department of Export Promotion,
Ministry of Commerce and Mr. Passavudh Rimcharoen, Director of Comercial
Office of Thailand in Santiago, Chile. They visited Peru as part of the
business trip to 3 Latin American countries namely Venezuela , Peru and
Chile between 3 – 13 May 2013.For Peru, the group visited Lima between 6 – 7 May to explore business opportunities as well as participated in the Business Matching with more than 40 Peruvian entrepreneurs at Lima Chamber of Commerce. Before arriving in Peru, they stopped at Caracas, the capital of Venezuela between 5-6 May and participated in the Business negotiation at Fedecamaras ( Federation of Chambers and Association of Commerce of Venezuela).
According to the interview of Mr. Jorge Roig, Vice President of Fedecamaras to Noticia 24, the event was held successfully as the first commercial interexchange and initiative between Thailand and Venezuela and received great response from Venezuelan private sector.
